It was no surprise that the troublesome topic of tuition fees cropped up at First Minister's Questions today.
The Leader of the Opposition Andrew RT Davies, pointed a bony accusing finger at the former Doyen of Education , Leighton Andrews, residing for the moment on the back benches in the guise of Assembly Member for Rhondda and referred to him as the Ghost of Christmas Past when quizzing the FM on his Government's policy on tuition fees.
RT wanted the First Minister to explain when he first realised that his policy on such fees was unsustainable? Ooh dear ! That created a bit of a fuss.
Kirsty Williams , the Leader of the Welsh Liberal Democrats , turned her attention this week to the health of the NHS in Wales. She was concerned that there wouldn't be enough beds in our hospitals to cope with admissions this winter
And Plaid Cymru Leader , Leanne Wood , this week turned her fire on the fair funding issue for Wales. She wanted to know , as she has on several previous occasions in the past , if the First Minister could say if his party was committed to a needs based funding formula in its 2015 manifesto?
