Overnight the winds ease even further and this will see a widespread ground frost and an air frost too. Temperatures drop to a cold -2C inland and the lighter winds may see some significant fog developing too. Freezing fog will make visibility rather poor in places.
Saturday begins on a sunny note for many places. The fog slowly burns back and lifts where it has formed overnight. It will be a cold start to the day too. During the afternoon there will still be good spells of sunshine for central and southern parts but thicker cloud arrives in the north.
If you're heading out you'll want to wrap up warm with highs of just 4-6C. Temperatures will be particularly suppressed where freezing fog developed last night.
The next few days see more bright spells, chilly temperatures, but thankfully a less bracing breeze.
