World's End villagers still without working phone lines weeks after storms

When people living in a remote valley near Llangollen lost their home phone lines during the February storms they were confident they wouldn't be cut off for long.

Twelve villagers reported a fault and BT carried out repairs. But more than four weeks later some still haven't had their phones reconnected - and they're angry.

Ian Lang** reports.

We are sorry for the delay. Bad weather caused extensive damage to our local network in this area and the repair is complex. _

_It involves the replacement of several hundred metres of overhead cable and the replacement or resetting of a number of poles. _

We expect the work to be completed by the end of next week... before if possible.
