For Swansea City fans, Saturday's game was a massive relief after the Swans managed a three nil win over Norwich City which sees them in 13th place in the table and seven points clear of the drop zone.
It was only the second win for the side since head coach Garry Monk took over. It was a result he was clearly delighted with.
Instrumental in the Swans success was in form Jonathan de Guzman, playing on the wing and scoring two of the goals in the first half at 30 and 38 minutes , giving the side a comfortable lead going into half time. Hard to believe that de Guzman is still on loan from Villa Real and with his man of the match status must put him in pole position for a permanent signing for the club
The second half saw a fantastic goal line clearance from Captain Ashley Williams as well as the goal from Wayne Routledge in the 75th minute that sealed the fate of Norwich City whose boss Chris Hughton said he was worried they would concede even more goals the way the game had been going
Striker Wilfried Bony may have been disappointed not to get one in the net but his creative play came in for praise from Garry Monk
The Swans next game is away against Hull City on Saturday April 5th.
Kick off is at 3.00pm
