Sunshine tomorrow but rain heading our way

Any showers this afternoon will clear away throughout the evening to leave a dry and clear night.

However, it will stay on the mild side with lows of between 5 and 8 degrees C.

Cloud is likely to thicken and develop during the early hours along the Welsh border and this will linger into the morning.

Despite a fairly grey and murky start in more eastern areas elsewhere should have a fine and bright start to Friday.

The cloud will lift throughout the morning to leave a pleasant afternoon with prolonged spells of sunshine.

By around 6pm the band of rain which has been travelling westwards throughout the UK during the day is likely to reach eastern counties.

By Saturday most places will have their fair share of prolonged rainfall, possibly the driest of places will be in Ceredigion.

Winds are changing to a more southeasterly direction and we could see gusts of around 25-30mph in more exposed areas.

Sunday will be drier than Saturday but showers are still likely and these will be heavier in nature. In-between the showers there should be some decent sunny spells.

By the start of next week things look to be settling down and the chance of some drier, brighter weather returning.
