A blustery weekend with a bit of brightness

A split in the weather today will continue into the early part of this evening with the east becoming rather wet and the drier, brighter conditions in the west.

Later tonight the rain in the northeast will clear away for a time while another band of rain works its way in from the west.

A mild night with lows of around 8 deg C.

Tomorrow morning is expected to be rather blustery with gales likely around more exposed coastal areas.

Rain should clear away through the day to leave more showery weather. In the south these showers could be fairly heavy at times.

Any breaks in the showers should make way for some brighter spells.

Best of the brightness in the north on Saturday.

A similar day on Sunday with the showers less frequent but perhaps a little heavier than on Saturday.
