Swansea City players are continuing their pre-season preparations in a tough training regime at the University of Illinois in Chicago.

The side will play two friendlies during their two-week tour. They'll be taking on Mexican Premier League side Chivas at Miller Park in Milwaukee on July 16th and will also be playing Minnesota United of the NASL on July 19th in Blaine.

We did the physical running session in the morning, weights in the afternoon and football in the evening, so we got everything into our first day of training out here.

We are all doing it together and pushing each other on. This is where the camaraderie comes into it.

You learn a lot about someone when you are working very hard with them.

Everyone comes back with a good base of fitness but nothing prepares for the intense work in pre-season.

We are working on being fitter than last season and that work starts now.

Williams signed a four-year deal at the club last week but there is still no confirmation of whether star player Michu will be staying on.
