Cardiff Blues have launched a new campaign in support of injured player Owen Williams. The Wales and Blues centre suffered a significant injury to his cervical vertebrae and spinal cord while playing for the club in the World Club 10s in Singapore last month.
The 22 year old was flown back home and is now being treated at the Welsh Spinal Injuries and Neurological Rehabilitation Unit at Rookwood Hospital in Cardiff.
Now the club has launched the #StayStrongForOws campaign with the Welsh Rugby Charitable Trust to raise funds to help and support Owen as he continues his recovery.
As part of the campaign, special bands have been made in gold and navy representing Cardiff Blues and Owen's home town club Aberdare RFC. Owen's teammates have already taken to Twitter to pledge their support for the campaign and his recovery.
