'With weather like this you don't need to go abroad!': How Wales is enjoying the summer sun

Welsh roads, railways and airports are facing one of their biggest days of the year with the traditional start of the summer holiday season.

We talked to people enjoying the sun in Porthcawl today

But with Wales having better weather than some foreign destinations the question is: staycation or vacation?

Mike Griffiths reports.

This weekend is set to be one of the busiest on the roads this year.

The AA says it expects even more traffic than usual thanks to the continuing warm weather.

The children have broken up from school yesterday... some of them broke up early in the week.

It used to be the old factory fortnight, miners' fortnight, so traditionally people always wanted to go the first two weeks of the summer holidays.

And people come back and get everything ready and they come back and have their August bank holiday as well
