Wales commemorates 70th anniversary of VE day

Amid all the election excitement, the main party leaders - including the now departed Ed Miliband and Nick Clegg - took time to remember the seventieth anniversay of VE Day.

They were present at a wreath laying ceremony in Westminster, also attended by First Minister Carwyn Jones.

Back in Wales there were similar scenes to commemorate the end of the war in Europe.

And whilst people remembered the celebrations seen in 1945, there was also time to reflect on the sacrifices made. Our Correspondent Richard Morgan reports.
