Dellow started stealing from her employer just weeks after starting work to pay off her cocaine dealer

A woman's been jailed after stealing thousands of pounds from her employer just weeks after starting work.

Jodie Dellow started transferring money to her own account within a month of started to work at South Wales Maintenance and Engineering Limited in Cwmbran. The 24 year old from Cwmbran began working as an accounts administrator in February and stole £3,600 in March, £8,390 in April and £2,800 in May. In total she stole, Newport Crown Court heard Dellow also stole a company fuel card, filling up her car seven times totalling £420.

Dellow pleaded guilty to theft and fraud, saying she'd got into debt with her cocaine dealer. Her defence counsel Ieuan Morris said Dellow was three-months pregnant and been 'tempted by money.'

She was sentenced to 16 months in prison.
