Welsh League Pontypridd AFC, who usually play in front of 60 people on a Saturday afternoon, last night walked out onto Ynysangharad Park in front of a sell out 1600 fans.
Their opponents were a star studded team including former World Cup finalist Ditemar Hamann, former Wales international Danny Gabbidon and former rugby legend Martin Williams.
The game was arranged by national sports broadcaster Colin Murray to raise the profile of non league football and secure the future of Pontypridd AFC.
Pontypridd AFC have become something of an internet hit. They became the first non league club to play in fixtures against Spanish giants Valencia and Deportivo La Caruna.
The profile gained from those glamour fixtures has lead to an increased following for the team and an extra £16,000 from last nights match.
Pontypridd managed to beat the all stars 3-1 following goals from striker Luke Gullick and Scott Hillman.
