On 14 December 1976 the Sex Pistols came to Caerphilly.
It was the punk group's Anarchy Tour.
The Sex Pistols were playing at the Caerphilly Workingmen's Hall.
They were met by an angry crowd, mainly Christian groups and young mothers.
The outraged protesters strongly voiced their opposition, and stood outside the venue singing carols during the performance.
The strength of opposition was unprecedented, and even shocked members of the band themselves.
