Police appeal after 'distressed' woman found without clothes and belongings

Gwent Police is appealing for information after receiving calls concerning a a distressed woman in the Lansbury Park area of Caerphilly in the early hours of Saturday 20th May.

Investigating officers say the woman lost her clothes, bag, purse, house keys and driving licence in the incident.

Police received reports of the woman in the Mornington Meadows area, specifically Dol Fran and Pen-Y Cae on Saturday but say the woman may have been in this area from about 10pm on Friday 19th May.

The woman is described as white, around 30 years old, with long straight brown hair. She was wearing a black cardigan/top, pink mini skirt, black leggings and long black boots. She was carrying a large black leatherette bag, the size of a holdall with a metal and leather shoulder strap.

Police say items missing are: the holdall and contents, together with items of her clothing – the pink mini skirt, black cardigan and a black bra.

The woman is safe and is working with officers to establish the events surrounding the incident.

Police are appealing to anyone who may have been in the area and seen or heard the woman or seen her belongings to contact them on 101, quoting log 39 20/5/17.
