The average annual car insurance premium in Wales has gone up by more than 14% over the last year, to £539.
That's still cheaper than the national average, which stands at £666.
Across Britain the typical annual premium is now just over 15% higher than a year ago.
Nearly half of this increase was found to have taken place during the three months to May.
Drivers aged 21 and 24 pay the highest prices on average, at around £1,000.
