Mother of missing teenager James Corfield pleads for help to find him

The mother of missing teenager James Corfield has made an emotional plea for help in finding her son.

Louise Corfield broke down in tears as she read a statement during a press conference at the Royal Welsh showground this afternoon.

Nineteen-year-old James, from Montgomery, was last seen at the White Horse pub in Builth Wells at around midnight on Monday 24th July.

Rescue teams are continuing to search for him around Builth Wells.

James Corfield's mother makes emotional plea for help in finding her son:

James is described as being 6ft 2in tall, of slim build, with short brown hair. He was last seen wearing a blue Abercrombie and Fitch shirt and jeans.

James was reported missing shortly before 2pm on Tuesday 25 July after failing to meet his family at the Royal Welsh Show, where he had been camping with friends.

A new photograph of him has been issued by police and a poster is being circulated by the charity Missing People.

Police officers, along with support from Brecon Mountain Rescue Team and Mid & West Wales Fire and Rescue Service, are continuing to search for 19-year-old James Corfield around Builth Wells.

We are still appealing for anyone who might have seen him late on Monday evening or during the early hours of Tuesday morning. Please ring 101 with any information you might have.

Volunteers are continuing to assist, and while we are grateful for their support, we would like to remind people not to undertake their own searches out of consideration for their own safety.
