A Burger King worker has been ordered to repay £10,000 - after stealing money from the till.
23-year-old Aled Miles-Yates stole almost £12,000 by stuffing money into a bag to fund a gambling addiction.
Cardiff Crown Court heard the father-of-two was manager of the fast food restaurant at a shopping centre in Caerphilly.
But he was investigated when bosses noticed money missing from the takings - and he admitted stealing £11,984.57 over just three months.
Miles-Yates, of Trecenydd, Caerphilly admitted theft and was handed an eight month suspended sentence.
He was ordered to repay CPL Foods, who own Burger King, £10,052.50 and carry out 120 hours unpaid work.
