Jordan Ayew has urged Swansea to back up their Carabao Cup victory with a first Premier League win of the season at Crystal Palace on Saturday (26 August).

The Swans came from behind to beat MK Dons 4-1 on Tuesday night to book a place in the third round of the Carabao Cup.

Paul Clement's side have yet to pick up maximum points in the Premier League this term, though, having drawn against Southampton and lost at home to Manchester United.

Ayew, who netted a late goal at Stadium MK, said:

We were very pleased to beat MK Dons...

...It's always important to win and we know how important Saturday is. It's not easy to win at Crystal Palace but we are not scared and we have confidence that we can go and get a result.

Despite a difficult start to the season, which also saw playmaker Gylfi Sigurdsson leave for Everton, Ayew said he is hoping Swansea can build some momentum.

It's always good to be winning, whoever you are playing against. It keeps confidence high and we have to keep that going. We are a young team. We are doing good things and that's positive.
