Rail passengers can now travel without having to collect orange paper train tickets in Wales.

The Trainline have launched mobile tickets across the Arriva Trains Wales network. It means customers can use their phones to scan both advance and on-the-day tickets, without having to queue to collect them.

The roll out means passengers can use a mobile phone to travel throughout the country, as well as to the North of England and the Midlands.

John Davies, Retail Director at Trainline said:

Bringing mobile tickets to the Arriva Trains Wales network and being able to connect Wales to our other mobile ticket enabled regions across the UK is brilliant for travellers who want to explore with their phone as their ticket, and a real milestone in our journey to help the industry meet the government’s target of 100% UK mobile ticket availability by the end of 2018.
