Ricky Jeremy, 23, from Bridgend, was sentenced for the assault on the woman who he targeted when he found her asleep in the early hours of Friday, 8 September.

The victim, 36, has no recollection of the incident, but it was captured on CCTV, while forensic evidence also implicated Jeremy.

Jeremy, pleaded guilty to rape, attempted rape, sexual assault and actual bodily harm.

During the incident, he punched her repeatedly to the face while sexually assaulting her. He then raped her.

After the CCTV operators witnessed the attack and raised the alarm, Jeremy was arrested near the scene.

He admitted the offences at an earlier hearing at the same court.

This was a shocking assault on a defenceless woman witnessed by CCTV operators and captured on their cameras.

Despite the victim having no recollection of what happened to her, prosecutors were able to produce a wealth of forensic and CCTV evidence against Jeremy which left him with no option but to admit the offences.
