Police are appealing for information after a man was stabbed in Holyhead in the early hours of Wednesday morning.
Officers arrived at scene at the rear of Waterside flats within minutes and immediately provided first aid to a 28-year-old local man.
Two ambulances arrived shortly afterwards and the male was taken to hospital where he remains in a critical condition.
DCI Brian Kearney stated: “We are appealing for any witnesses who noticed anything suspicious in the vicinity of Waterside Flats or adjoining streets between 10pm last night, Tuesday 6th March and 12.30am today to come forward."
He added: “We are very grateful to our colleagues in the ambulance service and A+E staff at Ysbyty Gwynedd for their efforts overnight to save this young male’s life.”
