Wales catches first glimpse of snow ahead of 'Beast from the East 2'

Parts of Wales has already seen the first glimpse of snow and sleet.

An Amber warning of snow for many parts of South Wales has already been issued for tomorrow.

The warning will affect:

  • Blaenau Gwent,
  • Bridgend,
  • Caerphilly,
  • Cardiff,
  • Merthyr Tydfil,
  • Monmouthshire,
  • Newport,
  • Powys,
  • Rhonnda Cynon Taff,
  • Torfaen
  • Vale of Glamorgan

While the snow from two weeks ago might not seem a distant memory for those caught up in the disruption, the cold blast expected for tomorrow has already been dubbed the 'Beast from the East 2'.

Parents have also been warned to possibly expect some school closures on Monday.
