Dreaming a dream in Cardiff Bay - hundreds of young hopefuls queue for part in Les Miserables

Open auditions are being held in Cardiff and Liverpool only.

Around a thousand performers dreamed a dream in Cardiff Bay this morning - as they queued up in the hope of winning a role in the UK and Ireland tour of Les Miserables.

Open auditions are being held in Cardiff and Liverpool only - some young hopefuls have travelled from London for a chance of a part in the production.

We asked for a rendition of one of the show's classic songs.

The show is being put on by renowned musical theatre producer Sir Cameron Mackintosh. It's the first time the show has gone on tour around the UK in more than ten years.

The tour begins in Leicester in November, before travelling to cities including Manchester, Birmingham and Dublin.
