Tonna rugby club makes its kit purple in memory of former player and coach

A rugby club in Neath has turned its kit and posts purple in memory of a former play and coach who died of pancreatic cancer. Paul Davies was a big part of the community at Tonna RFC.

His family are hoping their Go Purple for Paul campaign will help raise awareness of the disease.

Five weeks from diagnosis to death. It was as simple as that...because it's a silent killer, there's no symptoms really or some of the symptoms can be misinterpreted as type 1 diabetes, but, you know, back ache, a little bit of weight loss, and pale stools, that's one indicator, but people don't know about that.

But other than that he was well, he'd just got tummy trouble and was gone six weeks later you know.
