Riders will set off from Pembrey Country Park on 2 September before cycling north towards Llandovery. Thousands of spectators are expected to line the route to cheer on the first Welsh Tour de France winner.

Carmarthenshire County Council expect the event to bring a big boost to tourism in the area.

This will be something of a homecoming for Geraint and there will be thousands of people here in Carmarthenshire ready to give him the warmest welcome. This event will put our county centre stage in front of an audience of millions - we are thrilled, excited and ready to rise to the challenge.
