Weather warnings for wind and rain issued as Storm Bronagh is named!

The second named storm of the season has now been confirmed by the Met Office , with warnings for strong winds and heavy rain over the next few days.

Yellow warning for wind:

Thursday:

Yellow warnings for rain:

  • Warning for rain in place from 4am until 10pm;
  • An area of persistent and heavy rain is expected to develop across Wales;
  • Spray and flooding on roads is expected, possibly making journey times longer.

Thursday into Friday:

Yellow warning for wind:

  • Warning for wind in place from 6pm Thursday until 9am Friday;
  • Potential for very strong winds on Thursday evening and overnight into Friday morning;
  • The windy conditions could cause travel disruption, power disruption and damage to trees.

Further yellow weather warnings have also been issued for the coming weekend.
