Nearly a million pounds of lottery money will be invested to turn Dyfi Nature Reserve in Ceredigion into a leading visitor attraction.
A series of cameras will give visitors access to the wildlife along the Dyfi Estuary corridor. Overall, £3.2 million is being spent on projects in Wales.
"The projects we fund mean people can get involved with their heritage" says Jennifer Stewart, Head of the Heritage Lottery Fund in Wales.
"It can be through volunteering or skilling themselves up, and learning about their heritage."
"The other aspect that's really important is for us to know that the scheme is good value for money, and can be sustained in the long term".
