North Wales Police are continuing their search, and appeal for any information, for missing vet Catherine Gowing who has not been seen since approximately 8.40pm on Friday 12th October 2012 when she was sighted on CCTV leaving Asda Supermarket in Queensferry.
The search continues to be focussed in and around a quarry and adjacent pools and woodland in Pinfold Lane, Alltami near Mold where Catherine Gowing’s Renault Clio was found burnt out on the evening of Thursday 18th October.
Police are still anxious to trace the full movements of both Catherine’s Renault and the black Volvo S40 car, registration number AG58 JHE, belonging to Clive Sharpe.
A 46 year old Gwynedd man charged with the murder of missing vet Catherine Gowing has been remanded in custody after appearing via video link before Caernarfon Crown Court.
Clive Sharp will give his plea to the murder charge he faces at a further court appearance scheduled for 18th December.
Members of Ms Gowing's family from Ireland were present for the brief hearing - police are still searching for the 37 year old vet who disappeared on 12th October.
North Wales Police investigating the disappearance of Catherine Gowing say they want to trace the movements of a car belonging to the man charged with her murder.
Police say 46-year-old Clive Sharp from Gwynedd, owns a black Volvo S40 with the registration AG58 JHE.
They're appealing for anyone who saw the car between Friday the 12th of October and Monday the 15th to get in touch.
The 46 year-old man charged with the murder of missing vet Catherine Gowing has been remanded in custody pending a further court hearing.
Clive Sharp told the court he was of no fixed abode, but is said to have had an address at the Coed y Parc Industrial Estate in Bethesda in Gwynedd, North Wales.
He made his appearance at a special weekend sitting of Flintshire Magistrates’ Court at Mold this morning.
The murder is alleged to have taken place sometime between October 11 and October 17 in North Wales.
Magistrates chairman David Tapp remanded Sharp in custody to appear at Caernarfon Crown Court on Tuesday, initially so that the issue of bail can be considered.
A preliminary hearing and then a plea and directions hearing will be held in future weeks when he will eventually be asked to enter a plea.
North Wales Police have confirmed they have charged a 46 year-old man with the murder of Catherine Gowing.
Clive Sharpe, from Bethesda was arrested earlier this week following the disappearance of Ms Gowing.
It's believed he was known to the missing 37 year old.
He has been remanded in custody to appear before Mold Magistrates Court tomorrow morning.
North Wales Police will be holding a press conference at 2:30pm today in relation to the disappearance of Catherine Gowing.
Earlier today police confirmed they are carrying out forensic examinations on a burnt out car just two miles from the missing woman's home in New Brighton, Flintshire.
