Charity shops under threat?

The number of charity shops in Wales could be cut by a third if changes are made to tax relief from business rates, according to the Charity Retail Association. The Welsh Government is currently looking into rate relief for charity shops.

The Charity Retail Association is warning that the number of charity shops could be cut by a third if changes are made to the tax relief they get. Currently charity shops get an 80% discount on their business rates, but plans are being discussed to get them to pay more. Nicola Hendy reports.
