Sunshine and showers was the order of the day and there have plenty of those dotted across Wales. A large block of showers is now pushing from the south west to spread across the country.
This afternoon will see some showers turning heavy with the risk of thunder and hail too. Temperatures are around 3C down compared to average for the time of year and the showers and the blustery winds won't help them feel any milder. Highs of 14-16C.

A cloudy wet start to Friday but brightening up later

Good morning!
Well we will all see another wet start with the chance of showers pretty much everywhere and some will be heavy. Temperatures up to the mid teens by lunchtime by which time it will become drier.
Warmer and brighter into the afternoon with a showery burst most likely in the North.
Winds will pick up off the Irish Sea bringing some showers to coastal areas by the end of the day.
Temperatures remain average for this time of year.
The weekend isn't looking too bad with the best of the sunshine on Saturday.

We've seen gales of up to fifty miles an hour this morning, with a yellow warning remaining in place for the rest of the morning.
