Man appears in court charged with Christmas murder
A man has been remanded in custody charged with the murder of a woman whose body was found on Christmas morning.
Charmaine Macmuiris, 37, was found dead at a house in Maes-y-Ysgol in Carmarthen.

A man has appeared in court charged with the murder of a woman whose body was found on Christmas Day.

A 28-year-old man charged with the murder of a mother-of-three from Carmarthen has appeared in court this morning.
Dressed in black, and unshaven, David O'Sullivan spoke only to confirm his name, age and address.
The family of Charmaine Macmuiris were in court for the hearing, which lasted little more than five minutes.
Mr O'Sullivan has been remanded in custody and will appear at Swansea Crown Court on the January 8th.

Man charged with murder following Carmarthen death
Dyfed Powys Police say a 28-year-old man has been charged with murder after a woman was found dead on Christmas Day.
The body of 37-year-old Charmaine Macmuiris, a mother of three, was discovered at an address in Carmarthen at around 11am on Tuesday.
Police say the man will appear at Llanelli Magistrates' Court tomorrow morning.

Family tribute to Carmarthen mother
The family of Charmaine Macmuiris, found dead in a house in Carmarthen on Christmas day, have issued the following statement:
“As a family we are heart-broken and devastated by the loss of our beautiful daughter. Our lives will never, ever be the same again.
Charmaine was taken from her children, grand-child and all her family on Christmas day.
No family should ever have to face such a tragedy.
We would like to thank family, friends, relations and neighbours for their support and kindness during this sad time.
We would like our privacy to be respected while we grieve for Charmaine.”

Carmarthen mother named by police
A 37-year-old woman found dead at a home in Carmarthen on Christmas Day has been named as Charmaine Macmuiris, who was from the town.
Police have been given more time to question a 28-year-old man arrested in connection with her death.
Dyfed-Powys Police are appealing for information from members of the public who were in the Maes Yr Ysgol area between 5pm on Christmas Eve and 11am on Christmas Day.

Arrest after woman found dead in Carmarthen on Christmas Day
Dyfed Powys Police have arrested a 28-year-old man on suspicion of murder, following the discovery of a woman's body at a home in Carmarthen.
Police were called to the address at Maes Yr Ysgol at approximately 10:50am on Christmas Day, where the 37-year-old woman was found.
Anyone who was in the area between 5pm on Christmas Eve and 11am on Christmas Day is asked to contact police, said a spokesperson.
