£2m to restore 1850s mansion

The Victorian mansion Insole Court in Llandaff, Cardiff, is due to be restored for use by the local community, thanks to £2m from the Heritage Lottery Fund.

£2m to restore Victorian mansion for community

A Victorian mansion "in desperate need of repair" will be restored thanks to over £2m from the Heritage Lottery Fund.

Insole Court in the Llandaff area of Cardiff was built in 1856, and is surrounded by Grade II listed gardens.

Volunteers in the Insole Court Turst and Cardiff Council have campaigned to secure the building's future.
The funds will be used to restore the buildings and gardens, and transform a crumbling stable area into a base for the community.
