Members of young male voice choir Only Boys Aloud say they are 'incredibly proud' of their choirmaster Tim Rhys-Evans, who has been awarded an MBE in the Queen's Honours List 2013.
They also revealed they have privately coined the phrase 'TRE-MBE' in honour of his achievements, adding: "We'll still have the same banter with him as usual!"
Tim Rhys-Evans, the man behind popular choirs Only Boys Aloud and Only Men Aloud, said it was difficult to keep news of his MBE a secret.
He told ITV Cymru Wales his grandmother was reduced to tears on the day he received the letter, while his mother was 'beaming'.
"It's very emotional, actually. I feel very honoured and very humbled," he added.
Its out! I'm hugely honoured to have been awarded an MBE and eternally grateful to those whose love & support has enabled this to happen x
Morning - thank you so so much for all the lovely messages. Feel quite embarrassed by it all!! Off to get a bacon sandwich to celebrate!
