A 32-year-old man from Caerphilly has been charged with murder following the death of a six-week-old baby.

A 32-year-old man from Caerphilly has appeared at Cardiff Crown Court accused of the murder of a baby boy.

Michael Pearce, of Nelson, was charged after two days of questioning.

Six-week-old Alfie Sullock, from Fairwater in Cardiff, died in hospital last month.

Following a brief hearing this morning, Mr Pearce is due to appear in court again in November.

A 32-year-old man from Nelson in Caerphilly has been charged with murder following the death of a baby boy.

Six-week-old Alfie Sullock, from Fairwater in Cardiff, was taken to hospital on Friday 16th August, where he later died.

A hearing is due to take place at Cardiff Crown Court tomorrow.

A 32-year-old man from Nelson in Caerphilly has been arrested on suspicion of murder following the death of a baby boy.

Six-week-old Alfie Sullock, from Fairwater in Cardiff, was taken to hospital on Friday 16th August, where he later died.

The man arrested is currently being questioned by Gwent police.
