Swansea City lost 2-0 against Southampton at St Mary's. Michael Laudrup's men enjoyed 58 per cent of the possession, but they failed to make the most of it. Adam Lallana put the Saints in front with a 19th minute goal.

In the second half, Jay Rodriguez sealed the win for the home side, when his left-footed shot from the centre of the box found the bottom right corner.

Swansea City will look to take their European form into the Premier League this afternoon when they travel to Southampton (kick off 1330). The Swans have won two matches from two in Europe this season - including Thursday's one nil victory over St Gallen - but their league form has been more patchy.

The Swans have won two and drawn one of their six league games so far, and sit 14th in the table. Saints have enjoyed a bright start, and are 7th going into the game. For Swansea, captain Ashley Williams is set to miss out with an ankle ligament problem, but Angel Rangel could return from injury.
