Lifeboat crew schoolboy saves two on first RNLI shift

Britain's youngest lifeboat crew member has been praised for helping save the lives of two stranded tourists on his first shift for the RNLI, on the day after his 17th birthday.

Teenager Josh Double was aboard the RNLI's rescue boat when it launched from Mumbles in south Wales after receiving reports a French couple had been cut off by the tide.

The duo were pulled on-board and taken to shore - not knowing that one of their rescuers had turned up to his debut shift hours before in his school uniform.
