Inquiry into ambulance delay for Llanelli stroke victim

The Welsh Ambulance Service has launched an investigation after a patient had to wait two hours for an ambulance, even though he lived next door to a hospital. Trevor Bryer collapsed from a stroke in his home next to the Prince Phillip Hospital.

The Welsh Ambulance Service has launched an investigation after a dying patient had to wait two hours for an ambulance, even though he lived next door to a hospital.

Trevor Bryer collapsed from a stroke in his home next to the Accident and Emergency unit at the Prince Phillip Hospital in Llanelli. He died two days later.

The Welsh Ambulance Service Trust has sent its condolences to the family and has confirmed an inquiry is under way.
