Singer Jessie J is a global superstar with more than 6.5 million followers on Twitter. But one day she spotted a tweet that struck a chord with her.
It was from the family of seven-year-old Ruby, from Penarth in the Vale of Glamorgan, who has cerebral palsy. And that one tweet led to an extraordinary act of kindness by the singer. Emily Gadd reports.
Ruby Huxter's mum, Vicky, says she 'cried tears of joy' when she found out that pop star Jessie J had offered to buy her daughter a specially-adapted bike to help battle her cerebral palsy.
She says it would have taken the family years to fund the bike for Ruby and that the singer's actions will make a 'huge difference' to her daughter's life.
