Former Welsh university student on crashed MH-17 plane

A former Welsh university student was on board flight MH-17 when it crashed in eastern Ukraine.

Glenn Thomas, a media relations co-ordinator for the World Health Organisation, was one of nine Britons on board the crashed Malaysia Airlines plane.

He went to Bangor University in the 1980s.

Bangor University 'saddened' by former student death

Bangor University has issued a statement after a former University student died on board the Malaysia Airline flight MH-17.

Bangor University is saddened to learn that former student Glenn Thomas was one of the passengers on board Malaysia Airlines flight MH17.

Glenn graduated with a degree in Economics from Bangor University in 1987, and the thoughts of all at Bangor University are with his family and friends at this tragic time.

Mr Thomas attended Bangor University in the 1980's.

The University says they're 'saddened' to hear of the tragedy.
