A man has been arrested for affray and threats to kill following a police operation near a school in Flint.
The 25-year-old was detained after North Wales Police were called to an address in Maes Alaw just after 7am this morning, following reports of a man behaving in an aggressive and threatening manner.
The incident led to the closure of nearby St Mary's Primary School.
The surrounding roads have now re-opened.
North Wales Police have said there is 'no risk' to the public, as they deal with reports of a man 'acting aggressively' near a school in Flint.
Officers were called to Maes Alaw just after 7am today following the reports, which has led to the closure of St Mary's Primary School.
A primary school in Flint has been closed due to a 'major police incident', Flintshire County Council have said.
The Head Teacher of St Mary's Catholic School has made the decision to go ahead with the closure to ensure the safety of the school children.
The Council website say a police presence remains outside the school gates.
There are no reports of other school closures in the area.
