Teen pleads not guilty to Pentyrch murder

A teenager has pleaded not guilty to the murder of a man whose body was found after a fire at this home in Pentyrch.

Bleddyn King, 19, of Abercynon Road, Abercynon, denied murder in a short hearing at Cardiff Crown Court today.

64 year-old David Evans was found dead by fire fighters who attended a blaze at his house in the village of Pentyrch, on the outskirts of Cardiff in January.

Mr King was remanded in custody and will stand trial at Cardiff Crown Court in October.

A teenager charged with the murder of a 64-year-old man is due to stand trial later this year.

The body of David Evans was found after a fire at his home in Pentyrch, near Cardiff, in January.

19-year-old Bleddyn King, from Abercynon, appeared at Cardiff Crown Court today. He has yet to enter a formal plea but a trial date has been fixed for October 2.

An 18-year-old man has appeared in court charged with the murder of a man whose body was found in his fire damaged home.

David Evans, 64, was discovered by firefighters in the village of Pentyrch, on the outskirts of Cardiff, in January after they extinguished a blaze at his one-bedroom bungalow.

Bleddyn King, 18, of Abercynon, appeared at Cardiff Crown Court today charged with murder.

King, who appeared by video link, did not enter a plea and there will be another hearing on May 21.
