The Scarlets kept themselves in the running for a RaboDirect PRO12 play-off spot with a 26-23 victory over Aironi on Sunday afternoon. Jonathan Edwards' first-half try helped them to a 16-6 lead at half-time.
The hosts drew level thanks to a penalty try, but scores from Liam Williams and Ben Morgan earned the Llanelli side victory. Giulio Toniolatti's converted late try meant lowly Aironi claimed a bonus point.
Jonathan Davies - who was in line to captain the Scarlets for the first time against Aironi this afternoon - has been ruled out of the game with a minor groin strain. Stephen Jones moves into the starting XV, while Adam Warren is on the bench. Josh Turnbull leads the side.
The Scarlets travel to Aironi this afternoon, needing a win to keep the pressure on the teams above them in the race for the final RaboDirect PRO12 play-off spot. The Llanelli side have won three out of their last four league games - but have only triumphed once away from home in 2012.
24-year-old Wales centre Jonathan Davies will captain the Scarlets for the first time.
The region has done a lot to support my rugby career to date and it's where I feel at home as a player and where I feel I am best placed to further my ambitions both at regional and international level. There's a strong and ambitious spirit in this team and we know what it means to wear the Scarlets shirt.
