Tributes paid to Aberystwyth woman who died in a car crash

The family of a 26-year-old from Aberystwyth, who died in a road accident last week, have paid tribute to her.

Caroline Ann Morris's family and fiance said she was a "fun-loving person" who "lived life to the full."

She "had a bubbly personality, a lovely smile and loved spending time with her nephews and nieces, and was a very caring auntie. She will be missed terribly by all her family and friends."

Caroline Morris died in a road collision on the A470 between Carno and Llanbrynmair last Wednesday.

A public funeral service is due to be held at at Aberystwyth Crematorium on Friday.

Driver admits endangering public safety on railway line

A 35 year-old man has admitted endangering the safety of people using the railway, after a collision at a level crossing in Powys.

Appearing at Mold Crown Court Daniel Bellis, from Oswestry, admitted that he had failed to use an access phone before attempting to cross the railway line in his Ford Transit van near a track off the A470 near Carno.

The crown court judge hit out at a prosecution decision to drop a charge of dangerous driving saying that it was the driving of the vehicle on the crossing that caused the dangerous situation.

The case has been adjourned before sentencing.
