Engine failure a possible factor in Chester air crash

Engine failure has been cited as a possible cause of a light aircraft crash, which happened near Chester last August.

43-year-old Karl Hendrickson from Mold was one of two men killed. A report by the Air Accidents Investigation Branch said engine failure could not be ruled out.

Light aircraft crashes near North Wales border

Rescue services are at the site of a crash near Chester, after a small plane came down shortly before 9pm this evening.

Two people were on board, say Cheshire Police. The crash occurred close to the village of Churton.

North West Ambulance Service says it sent an ambulance and two rapid response vehicles to Chapel Lane but they were not used.
