The leader of Swansea Council, Chris Holley, has predicted his Liberal Democrat party will get a 'pasting' at tonight's local elections. The Lib Dems have run the council since 2004, but Holley has told our Swansea Reporter Dean Thomas that national politics will mean a bad night for them locally.
– Chris Holley, Leader of Swansea Council
Its not going to be too good. If I'm being perfectly blunt, national politics has effected local government. Our administration can be very proud of its record, but what has happened nationally has put things out of our control. I predict we will lose a few seats, it's still too early to be sure though.
