Sinclair keen to stay with Swansea

Swansea winger Scott Sinclair says he "definitely" wants to stay at the Liberty Stadium. The former Chelsea player has scored seven goals in Swansea's maiden Premier League campaign to help the club to 10th place in the table and almost guarantee survival.

Sinclair, the hat-trick hero when Swansea beat Reading in last season's Championship play-off final, still has a year to run on his current deal, but manager Brendan Rodgers is keen to secure his future after his performances reportedly attracted the attention of several other Premier League clubs.

There are eight games to go and when we have played them we will talk then. I'm happy to be playing every week for a manager who believes in me and we will talk at the end of the season. It is definitely my preference to stay. The manager has brought me in, given me a chance and that is all I can ask for.
