Irish Taoiseach Enda Kenny flew into Cardiff this afternoon from the European Council meeting in Brussels.

He was the only EU leader to get a private meeting with Prime Minister Theresa May but she refused to tell him the date she planned to trigger the Brexit process.

Mr Kenny can have expected a more sympathetic hearing when he met First Minister Carwyn Jones, as both men have serious concerns about the British Government's approach to leaving the EU. But their friendship might come under more strain later, when they attend the Wales v Ireland rugby match.
