Flood alerts rise to ten

Environment Agency Wales says there are now ten "be prepared" flood alerts in Wales :

  • River Severn and its tributaries
  • River Wye in Powys
  • Rivers in the Taf and Cynin catchments
  • Rivers Bran and Gwydderig at Llandovery
  • Rivers in the Ewenny and Vale of Glamorgan West catchments
  • Rivers in the Llynfi and Ogmore catchments
  • Rivers in the Neath catchment
  • Afon Vyrnwy, Afon Tanat and Afon Cain & their tributaries
  • Upper Teme upstream and including Knighton
  • River Ely

Flood alerts issued for parts of the country

Environment Agency Wales has issued six flood alerts for Wales. People in areas at risk of flooding are warned to be prepared.

  • Rivers Bran and Gwydderig at Llandovery
  • Rivers in the Ewenny and Vale of Glamorgan West catchments
  • Rivers in the Llynfi and Ogmore catchments
  • Rivers in the Neath catchment
  • Upper Teme upstream and including Knighton
  • Afon Vyrnwy, Afon Tanat and Afon Cain & their tributaries

The Environment Agency has issued 3 flood alerts for Wales:

Gwynedd: Lleyn Peninsula and Cardigan Bay Coastline

Pembrokeshire: Pembrokeshire coast

Swansea, Neath Port Talbot, Bridgend, Vale of Glamorgan: Swansea Bay and the Gower coast
