Search on for prisoner who absconded from Prescoed

Police are searching for a 44-year-old prisoner who absconded from HMP Prescoed this morning.

Christopher Woodward, who also uses the name Christopher Hunter, was jailed after being convicted of manslaughter in Lincolnshire in 1999.

He is described as being white, 5ft 10 inches tall and of medium build. He is clean shaven and has short cropped brown hair and blue eyes. He was wearing blue jeans, blue shoes and a black bomber jacket. He has contacts in the Lincolnshire area.

A Gwent Police spokesperson said: "It is believed there may be a potential risk to the public due to the fact that he is no longer in the custody of the prison service.

"If anyone sees him they are advised not to approach him but to call police on 101, quoting log 68 17/01/14."

Prescoed prison absconder found and arrested

A man who absconded from HMP Prescoed in Monmouthshire has been found in Bristol and arrested.

Brian Grady, also known as Brian Revill, is 26.

Gwent Police says he is currently in police custody but will be returned to the custody of the prison service.

A 22-year-old man and a 47-year-old woman, both from the Bristol area, have been arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender.

Woman charged with assisting prisoner

A woman has been charged with assisting a convicted murderer to escape from Prescoed Prison in Monmouthshire.

26-year-old Brian Grady absconded on Monday and a 34-year-old woman and 37-year-old man were arrested in Bristol. The woman will appear in Caerphilly Magistrates Court today.

The man arrested was released without charge. Grady, also known as Brian Revill, is still missing. He is described as white, 5ft 11ins, of medium build, with short light brown hair and blue eyes. He has a scar under his left eye and speaks with a Bristol accent.

Two arrested on suspicion of assisting prisoner to escape

Police searching for a convicted killer who has absconded from HMP Prescoed in Monmouthshire have arrested a man and a woman on suspicion of assisting a prisoner to escape from prison.

The 37-year-old man and 34-year-old woman, both from the Bristol area, are in custody.

Police are still looking for Brian Grady, 26. In 2003, he was sentenced to serve at least 11 years after being convicted of murder and robbery. He is also known as Brian Revill.

Police are appealing for information in the search for a convicted killer who absconded from HMP Prescoed on Monday.

In July 2003 he was sentenced to serve at least 11 years at Bristol Crown Court after being convicted of murder and robbery.

He is described as white, 5ft 11ins, of medium build, with short light brown hair and blue eyes. He has a scar under his left eye and speaks with a Bristol accent.

A Gwent police spokesperson said Revill could be in the Bristol area, where he is known to have contacts.

Leighton Mark Williams: Police hunt GBH convict who absconded from HMP Prescoed

Gwent Police are appealing for information in the search for 22-year-old Leighton Mark Williams, who absconded from HMP Prescoed, near Usk, on December 2nd.

Williams, who is described as white, approximately 5 ft 8 inches tall, of slim build, with short brown hair, is known to have links in the Caerphilly area.

He was given an indeterminate sentence with a minimum of 30 months for grievous bodily harm in June 2008.
