Cardiff's Ieuan Lloyd swam a new Welsh record yesterday to grab silver in the 200m Individual Medley at the British Swimming Championships. Swansea's Jemma Lowe won the 100m Butterfly final to take gold. Both will now qualify for the Great Britain swimming team heading for the World Championships.
Georgia Davies has safely negotiated her way through this morning's 100 meters backstroke heat this morning.
Swansea ITC swimmer Davies was impressive, qualifying sixth fastest.
Davies spotted her turn perfectly which took her up to second in her heat with an equally good finish seeing her as runner-up behind Seebohm in 59.92secs, with the Australian, Emily Seebohm, setting a new Olympic record of 58.23.
But there was disappointment for Cardiff based swimmer, Ieaun Lloyd, after he failed to qualify in this mornings 200 meters freestyle heat.
